Truly, the technology of computer has vastly evolved in such a fast pace. It is thrilling to know that a lot of developments are going on. However, many of us are still left behind with the technology due to budget restraints. I only hope that that the next product from huge computer companies would be able to compete with the most updated gadgets without having to cost too much.

But Nokia’s N810 launch is one step in a longer plan. My impression of Vanjoki’s presentation was that this long view is at the core of Nokia’s strategy. And it’s driven by two key assumptions: That the handset will be the world’s Internet platform, and that it will be open. [...]

[...] Here Come the Cloud Computers - “So how how long before the first Google-Apple Cloud Computer appears? I would say it’s months, not years.” We have the (finally) iPhone sdk, the rumoured Apple “slim” (could that be a super size iTouch e-Reader under the iBook brand?), and the current the Nokia’s N810 Internet Tablet, plus the Nokia S60 Touch UI video. Mobile computer is posed to take a big leap. Getting eInk displays is one of the last missing pieces (if only to improve battery life x 10+). [...]

Good article, although I'm sticking with my prediction the "Gphone" will arrive in April 2008, as a VoIP phone. See my post for specific details, as it's a three part series on Google's Mobile Strategy. Part three discusses the GPhone (http://gagagooogle.blogspot.com/2007/10/googles-mobile-strategy-part-3-gphone_16.html)

Keep up the good work!
