Another example of a mobile content play moving onto bigger screens, rather than the other way around: Comedy Time, a made-for-mobile content service, has inked a deal with online video player Dailymotion to provide its “funnysodes” short clips and stand-up packages. The content will be formatted by Dailymotion producers to go into its Funny channel. Comedy Time already has a presence on the wider Internet through deals with AOL (NYSE: TWX) Video, Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Video, Yahoo!, Real Networks Superpass and ROO. It also says it’s already available to some 3.5 million users in the U.S. via deals with Sprint, VCAST, Cingular, MobiTV, Altel and U.S. Wireless; and also has international distribution. For its part, Dailymotion has been offering its users a service to upload mobile video clips to its site for over a year now. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. release
