Original post: Oct 2: Acinion, an online video delivery company based in Acton, Mass., has received a $16 million second round from Globespan Capital Partners, IDG Ventures Boston and Sigma Partners, reports PE Hub. The company makes server-side technology to facilitate the delivery of HD content online. This brings its total to $21 million as it raised $5 million late last year. CEO Robert Rizika was previously SVP of Worldwide Sales & Entertainment Strategy for Macrovision.
