I would be surprised if Apple did anything for those who purchased the 4GB iPhone. The price drop will definately be the push many needed to buy the iPhone. I have a 4GB iPhone myself (provided by my company) and as a business user I have many frustrations with it. I

It is hands down the greatest handset in the market with all its features but depending on your area the phone itself can be extremely frustrating. I lose more calls than ever and most people often complain they can't hear what I'm saying.

Anyway, Apple continues to prove that they know how to please consumers by offering a wide variety of products catering to a variety of user needs.

LOL, yeah the replacement of battery life for media storage time was pretty amusing.

A 160GB iPod that only holds 40 hours of music! Because it only plays 92-bit, 48kHz uncompressed music.

160GB/7 hours of video = 23GB/hour. Because only 1920x1280 video compressed with the Apple Animation codec is supported.

Wow, now I have a 4gb iPhone (my wife's) that'll be worth $200 (if that) and my 8GB is now worth at most $300 used (or half of what I paid for it 2 months ago).

That's got to be the fastest depreciation I've ever seen, even with Macs.

Do you think Apple will do anything for all those people who paid $200 more for their iPhone only 2 months ago? I know I'd be ticked...

And I agree with Scott, $400 for 16GB is insulting. I'll wait for 2 months and see if the price goes down.

This article says that the 80GB iPod classic holds 25 hours of music and 5 hours of video, while the 160GB model holds 40 hours of music and 7 hours of video. I believe that these are times for the battery life, not the music capacity. 160GB will give you a lot more than 40 hours of music!
