Biodiesel company Imperium Renewables opened a plant today that it says is the largest biodiesel production facility in the U.S., with an annual capacity of 100 million gallons per year. The Seattle-based company has raised over $200 million and, earlier this year, filed for an IPO.

The plant sits on 12 acres at Port of Grays Harbor in Washington. The company says it chose the site because of its connection to rail, road and water transportation. The facility is also capable of storing up to 17 million gallons of biodiesel and feedstocks.
