Thanks so much for sharing this article! I really have been wanting to promote and work on getting the information out there so that people know of the services that I offer. I have thought a lot about using facebook, and just havent been sure if it would be the best option or not. This really helps me to see if this would be an option for my firm

I think that Miss New Jersey should have read this article before she put anything on her facebook page. I understand that teenagers do stupid things. However, working adults should know better then to post questionable photos or questionable anything on facebook or anywhere on the web.

I pretty much only use facebook for social networking. I fin that business is hard to conduct on a social networking site. Maybe I’m not doing it right.

This is a very good article, and I wish more people knew about using facebook professionally. Personally, I don’t use facebook for my professional endeavors; I feel that it takes too much time to set it up for that purpose (as many other people have expressed it). And the other problem is that it is hard to control what other people post about you. For example, you make a very good job creating a professional profile, but then, a friend from the summer of ’02 go posts a picture of you having a ‘good time’. Your professional profile is lost!that is why love using facebook and it also connect me too many other people thax

I think the question “how many more social networks do we need?” is a valid one as far as avoiding overwhelm, however, I think its more about working out what’s best for you in your business. The possibilities with a platform like facebook are undeniable and this article shows how you can go about customising it for your needs…providing you can find a way for it to suit your needs :)

Personally, I don’t think linked in would be as effective for me, i think a lot of this “choosing your platform” stuff is about evaluating what works best for us then to “Pick a horse” :) and go for it… great article btw :)
