Thanks to everyone who joined our new readers group on Facebook.  We have over 100 members after just one day which is simply phenomenal.  There are already some good discussions about mobile tech happening and I can tell it will be a good place for us all to get to know each other a little better.  Those of you who have joined up should note you’re in good company, others who have joined you may be familiar with include Peter Rojas of engadget, Michael Arrington of TechCrunch, Robert Scoble, Brian Jepson of O’Reilly Media, Dwight Silverman of The Houston Chronicle, Josh Bancroft and Dave Zatz, among many others.  So if you haven’t joined yet, what are you waiting for?  Good times are to be had by all.  See you at the Social.

  1. Awwww… I wish you guys would’ve just signed up on Jaiku. But I guess at the moment Jaiku’s functionality is a bit lacking when you factor in uploading pics and videos. The impromptu discussion threads that pop up on Jaiku are pretty engaging, more so than Twitter, I daresay, since it’s much easier to track discussions and reply to people. I’m not so keen on Facebook’s closed-ness. I can’t see any content on Facebook without registering. I don’t like that. People’s Jaiku/Twitter/Pownce pages are freely visible to non-registered users. Oh well. :)
