We’ve heard that an upcoming Intel platform will provide support for WiMAX and today it looks like that WiMAX network in the U.S. will be a joint venture between Sprint and Clearwire. Assuming the deal passes legal scrutiny by the DOJ and FCC, the companies expect to have WiMAX coverage available to 100 million web-izens by the end of next year.
