Treo owners running Palm OS might want to update their Google Maps application to version 1.2.0.8, which became available within the past week. Why would you want the upgrade? For starters look above at the old version on the left and the new version on the right, courtesy of Treonauts. See those new on-screen buttons for traffic, directions and more? Hey, we also see that Florida has joined the Union, since it’s shown as part of the USA…welcome, Floridians! ;) Even better yet is the contact integration that Windows Mobile users have enjoyed: it’s there for the Palm OS Treos now as well.   1. The add on to this should be the use of the freeware program WhereAmI? for palm, which in conjunction with a bluetooth GPS, will plot your starting or current (but not moving) location on Google Maps. See here:
