Out-of-home digital TV operator Ripple Networks has raised a $10 million second round led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson with participation from Trinity Ventures. Both firms contributed to Ripple’s $5 million first round in January. Founded three years ago under the name ActiveMaps, Ripple plans to use the funding to expand its network beyond southern California and Hawaii. The network features ad-supported content from ESPN, E Entertainment Channel, Yahoo, CBS and MSNBC, among others. Ripple claims to reach 10 million consumers monthly through its retail locations.
