Can co-founders be matched with one another?
OK, so it works (sometimes) in the dating universe. But can match-making work in a start-up? We hear often about one founder being “hooked-up” with another, usually by an interested angel or venture capitalist. Most power prokers love any opportunity to leverage their networks, especially if it means “connecting” one entrepreneur they mentor with another. Can such match-making work for start-up co-founders? Or, as we’ve asked before, is it better for co-founders to “discover” each other on their own? What are the pros and cons of one founder being “set-up” with another?

it’s hard to say how and from who you spark with in your story -
i find my best clicks are from random bump into’s but why not have more inroductions and options to click with – can’t hurt
as long as your not hustled into a marriage based on a vc or angel not being so in tune with you and your company’s flow.}
Very interesting Case Study on JumpCut done here (http://www.startup-review.com/blog/jumpcut-case-study-blueprint-for-a-product-acquisition.php) It says the co-founders didn’t know each other before building the company.}
nice, i started metroproper.com one year ago – 8 months in > i met anand danak and he was a perfect natural fit to co found with – we were hanging out in the front of my cafe.. and i had no clue he had a serious backround as a programmer.. he was managing a 24 hour starbucks at the time and visiting my indy coffee shop.. one day after talking to him often.. i was so shocked he was so close this whole time.. he quit his job and jumped on board as partner 24/7 .. we moved in with each other and live in a metroproper office environment over the cafe’ it’s great.. why am i ranting.. my story.. sorry}
I don’t buy the co-founder blind date, since it implies that close start-up relationships can form very quickly. Perhaps it’s simply my personality, but I need to work with someone for a significant amount of time (I’d say six months, minimum) before I really feel comfortable enough, so to speak, to jump in to bed. So, the opposite of my romantic relationship history, then…}
I ran across a site a while ago that seems to fit this question pretty well: http://peoplethatclick.com/
Basically, it tries to match you up with potential partners based on your entrepreneurial profile (it is based on some big studies of entrepreneurs by the PSED). I think the site is still completely free to use as well.}
