Intel is pushing mobile concepts all over the place and using the IDF as their platform to entice us with mobile PCs that they think we’ll not be able to leave at home because they are so cool.  The latest gizmo to come out of the fertile minds of Intel is a laptop that bypasses Windows SideShow and puts a large e-ink driven display on the cover.  This display can show pertinent information even when the power is off, costing no battery drain.  This is a very useful idea and I can think of many uses for a display like this.  Now if they’d only shrink that laptop a little.  :)  As cool as this concept notebook might be couldn’t they make the e-ink screen detachable so you could carry it without the laptop?  Kind of a "pop it out and go" display.

  1. Thank you thank you and thank you!! I have been waiting for this and I hope this feature would transform the tablet technology one step forward especially for note taking per se. Namaste.
