Reminds me of PayPal’s first business plan and at-bat, which was limited to the Palm platform. Pay-by-phone will take off in the US, some year, and so will Blue tooth. Or so I’ve been preaching for six or seven years. Best, jim Forbes

This will be h-u-g-e in south america and asia where it’s quite common to purchase products and send payments via mobile which brings us to the question, is this for the US only? Another obvious angle for this program: payment or micro-payment method for mobile social network services.

Nick, what comes immediately to mind is an auction (eBay or the like) where the close time is a time where the only connection you have is mobile. I guess you could just lug a laptop everywhere, but I’d rather use a phone.

It’s hard to pry my smartphones away from me, and I use them for everything but buying things online. I’m struggling to find a situation where I’d be purchasing something via my phones. Anyone have an idea?
