EyeTVElgato Systems, home of the acclaimed EyeTV software, announced today it has terminated its licensing agreement with Miglia Technology, creator of a number of analog and digital TV hardware products for the Mac. Miglia can no longer ship, sell or advertise TV Tuner solutions bundled with Elgato’s EyeTV software.

Anyone currently using EyeTV with a Miglia TV tuner product will not be affected by this change as EyeTV will continue to work with existing Miglia products. Elgato will continue to support existing Miglia/EyeTV customers with software updates and improvements.

Miglia’s TVMicro, TVMini and TV Mini HD+ hardware products compete in the same space as Elgato’s EyeTV Hybrid and EyeTV EZ.

Headquartered in Munich, Germany, Elgato was founded in 1992 by Markus Fest, the creator of Toast. The recently-released Toast 8 Titanium contains an Elgato-branded video player application.
