hmmm does that explain, why I got a call from Microsoft yesterday to follow up on the Flat Planet Phone Co. presentation at the Etel Launchpad??

They seemed very interesting in understanding where companies like ours are going. So interested, that they said that they don't even care if we use their software...

Rob, Thanks for the mention. I do have one minor correction, our main office is in Dallas, TX with a satellite office in Austin where all of the creative talent lives.

Steve comment is dead on, that is what makes Jaduka different from every other player. We are based on an infrastructure that handles millions of transactions daily and meets compliance concerns with nearly 10 years experience.

Good question Steve -- sounds like a business opportunity. How to track IM, etc., for Sarbox.

Since the ETel conference hotel was near where BALCO used to be, maybe some residual 'roids were picked up by startups? Time for testing!

Clever local Burlingame reference to Balco there.

But with this Web-based and consumery stuff, what about high-availability, accounting, and compliance requirements?

Rob, point taken that the technology exists... but integration with other apps seems to be happening faster outside the "package" programs like CallManager. Web widgets don't require server upgrades or company-wide client software rollouts... and you can change horses quickly, not sure that is economical going down the CallManager (or MSoft, or Avaya) path.

I wonder how many people who use CallManager at work also use Yahoo or AIM to chat with friends outside the corporate network. Does that happen where you are at?

don't want to be a downer but these features that you're talking about are already being delivered in the enterprise - no one needs to wait for them to percolate up from the WEb/Voice 2.0 world.don't want to burst your bubble or break your rhythm but many of these features that you're talking about are already being delivered in the enterprise - no one needs to wait for them to percolate up from the Web/Voice 2.0 world.

Web widget to add "call me" from a web page - we've had "click to talk" for a while.

Java softphone...same thing. i haven't seen them deployed on a web page but if you have click to talk or a java download....why limit it to having a web page open?

IM client on steriods...take a look at Cisco CallManager 5.0 with video (done), voice (done) rich media (done) and text messaging....(done)
