Hehe - how is more like Second Life? More like Phantasy Star online structure with "social media" playing the background. And we are talking about media right, and not just social. They will have to go a long way beyond hanging real pictures in a virtual world to gain the name as the gaming social media platform. Sony needs to try a lot more harder than just social media as their gimmick, because SingStar and little free games in a virtual world will not suffice.

We have to be real with ourselves of what online gaming is about - the convergence of the PC+gaming platform is far away - and those wanting social media will look in the areas they hear most and for online gaming they have the Xbox360.

Oh wait - this was for the PS3 right? Just kidding but it is nothing to keep a smile on a PS3 owners face - sometimes growth on simplicity is best. Taking this move following others is just a stupid decision - I am going to play some Phantasy Star online so I can hang my collectibles from in game on walls and counters all over my virtual home.

not impressed at all.

Read: Sony can't come up with anything, so they're hoping users will as a means of justifying the $600 purchase. And with the complete lack of current games coupled with uncertaining about there being many in the future, they'll have plenty of time to do so.
