7150When I first saw the announcement for the i-Mate Ultimate 7150 the first thought that crossed my mind was that it looked like what you’d get if you took a Sharp Zaurus and made it better looking and more functional.  I still think that and would absolutely love to give one of these babies a whirl.  From the Windows Mobile 6 to the swiveling screen I can see the 7150 being a real productivity booster and near laptop replacement.  Mobil Mania.sk has a bunch of “real” photos of the 7150 and if you have a look at them you’ll see why this gadget has me in techno-lust.  I can’t read a word of this overview but who cares, it shore looks purty.

  1. Definitly a keeper. Looks like it will be selling at a pretty high price point though… 920.606 USD to 1,051.99 USD at current currency rates. I know what my tax return will be going towards this year.

  2. Pff… i just bought an MDA Pro as well…

  3. It reminds me of the Jornada 720 series (which had perhaps the best mobile keyboard ever !!!). Is this much larger than the Universal (Jasjar)?

  4. I would love it as my next PDA (combines my current, Axim, with my previous, Jornada 720), but I was hoping for an E90-like dual screen setup so I could use it as my main phone as well. Being able to quickly one-hand type a short SMS is very important in my usage.

Luckily I can’t afford this or its competition so its shortcomings don’t affect me personally :)

  5. check origamiportal.com – there is a translation of the specs and other things.

  6. Man, that thing is the Hummer H1 Alpha of PDAs.

  7. Did they just invent the tricorder ???

    Looks big.

  8. From the spec, 7150 is actually much smaller than JASJAR. The actual volumn (wxhxd) is about 60% of JASJAR.
The look is also very stylish. Form and Function combined.
If there is anything missing, I have to say it is the lack of built-in GPS.
I am currently own JASJAM which I love very much. This could be my next phone when my JASJAM contract expires.

  9. i love this thing and cannot wait until it comes out

  10. I WANT TO BUY THIS 7150 IMATE
AND HOW CAN I WILL BUY THIS PHONE
AND GIVE ME ADDRESS IN KARACHI
