Future of portable storage… bacteria

A tiny MicroSD can storge many gigabytes – a miracle when compared to say five years ago. But given the size of our files, videos and what not, even that might now be enough. Answer to our growing need for storage is bacteria-based storage. I am not sure if I am ready for something like that. Will bacteria-based storage replace electronics in our daily work?
