p.s. Markus, I was not familiar with your site.
 Recently added to favorites….very nice.

Thank you very much!

I started this blog recently when I realized that I also have an opinion and information on many tech issues, that often are very different from the stuff I need for my articles in German magazines. In many cases it's much too techy for them.

But my thoughts are also too long for Gigaom's comment section. So now it's a Blog itself.

:)

Om,
One more thing:
"As a condition of the AT&T/BellSouth merger, AT&T had to sell off that spectrum. "Whatever happened to the handful of companies that were waiting for T to shed some on-net buildings, or at least where they were the sole provider, as part of T/SBC…has that happened yet?
Thanks,
Michael

Om, can you provide some clarity to who exactly Sprint, MSOs through recent Sprint agreements, MSO's recent collaborative spectrum purchases, and ClearWire are targeting. Individuals, ISPs, regional cellulars, resellers, etc? I have yet to get a handle on this part of the wireless biz. Especially confused with the “MSOs through recent Sprint agreements vs. MSO's recent collaborative spectrum purchases”.

Thanks,
Michael

p.s. Markus, I was not familiar with your site. Recently added to favorites….very nice.

More about the Wimax boom and bust cycle…

Yes, I also see the possibility of a Wimax boom. Not necessarily of a bust. Maybe this will finally bring the open mobile economy many are already dreaming about, bypassing traditional telcos. I have put some thoughts on that together on my blog…

This IPO could start another round of boom - bust cycle in the telecom sector. The utopian vision of an "all wireless" networks is about to start
