Can two struggling providers of satellite radio succeed as one combined force? And is Howard Stern’s contract still worth it?

I hope the FCC allows this merger. There is really not much growth potential in Broadcast, so it is stupid to worry about competition. To me, either you are willing to pay for radio or you are not; layering the additional choice of who do you want to pay seems silly and does more to limit consumer choice than enhance it.
