I know so many men who have had pretty good success in meeting a variety of women from these sites ... I think that this truly is the wave of the future, on Valentine's Day or not! I do think men and women would have a little more success in finding a good match if they hone their "text" and continue to follow general dating rules even if the "dating" is electronically at first. In some cases, if you are witty in text, it may be easier to meet women, but in others, more difficult. But worth boning up on how to convey your personality with text.

Valentine's Day, AntiSocial Media and Lurve…

For the romantically inclined:

On this Most Romantic of days, it may interest most Social Meedja types to know that even today, in our interlinked, big bandwidth, twittering blogworld, most of the "Conversation" is still about getting it on, onlin…

I'm happily married, thank you, but having tracked this for a couple clients, I'd add:

playtxt (http://www.playtxt.net/)

SmallPlanet (http://www.smallplanet.net/)

There are a couple recent surveys on mobile dating and romance-related SMS usage:

Americans Finding Romance Via Cellphones This Valentines Day Says Trilibis Webdate Mobile (http://www.webwire.com/ViewPressRel.asp?aId=27392)

Shocking Increase in 'Text Cheating' and Other Global SMS Trends (http://www.logicacmg.com/r/100000/page/400005605)

Back in September, Visiongain put out a report that 13% of mobile users are using their phones to help with dating (http://www.cellular-news.com/story/19160.php). I'm sure that's increasing rapidly!
