I don't know that it would be a stressful experience, might be rather pleasant…would certainly make the job of advertisers that much easier…but it would also mean we're living in a world of broadcast content as opposed to the trending towards narrowcast that we are experiencing today. </p> <p>I would argue that the remote control may have done more to shorten our attention span than any invention in history.</p> Without the remove control, we might actually watch a show all the way through, commercials and all.
