Bear Call on Private Equity?

What’s the hot new job destination for B-Schoolers this year? Private Equity, reports Business Week, which doesn’t bode well for the business. In 1980s it was Wall Street and in 1990s it was Silicon Valley, and both those went through a massive bubble and were followed by a equally big bust. Will PE follow that route? In words of Michael Panzner, “Sometimes you know how it will end as soon as it starts.” One of the lessons a student ought to learn at an expensive B-School is avoiding the herd mentality. Apparently, HBS doesn’t teach that.
