Wallop Inventor leaves the company

Sean Uberoi Kelly, CTO, founder and principal inventor of Wallop has left the San Francisco-based social networking start-up.
We were able to confirm this information with Karl Jacobs, CEO of Wallop. According to him, Kelly has no plans to work on any other project.

There might be something fishy about Neuronet and the organization behind it. We have not heard back from them for a while now, and there are others who are raising questions about the organization, IAVRT. GigaGamez posted an update, and points to Sven Johnson who is doggedly investigating IAVRT.

Now Qwest Needs Fiber Too

Qwest, according to a Light Reading report, is now looking to build out FTTx styled network and had asked equipment vendors to send in their proposals before Christmas 2006. In the request for proposal documents obtained by Light Reading, Qwest admits that current methods have some challenges.

Sprint May Add Nokia for WiMAX

Sprint has said it is already working with Motorola and Samsung to build its $3 billion WiMAX network. Now the WSJ says Sprint is close to choosing Nokia as a third provider, among competitors Alcatel/Lucent, Nortel, ZTE, and Huawei. The report also says that the deal has not been finalized.

Technorati, Edelman deal is done

Looks like the much vaunted deal between Edelman PR and Technorati is all but done, according to Handelsblatt, a German news daily.
Wolfgang Luenenbuerger-Reidenbach, the head of online conversations at Edelman Germany (and a blogger himself), confirmed my information that both companies won’t renew their partnership which is about to run out at year end anyway.
