Break's over, back to work…

Breaks are nice. As the year wound down, I shared five things, looked up my superhero (I'm the Flash—or possibly the Hulk—file under irreproducible results), made some predictions (classified), avoided making resolutions, and made altogeth…

Good. I personally was never a fan of having a search engine, which should be impartial, in bed with a PR firm, whose job it is to old public opinion.

Technorati, Edelman Work Completed…

Edelman and Technorati have concluded our work on global blog search. This was reported on Gigaom and elsewhere. However, I want to clarify what Om has written. The European sites developed in French, German and Italian are operational and being…

The Edelman-Technorati deal is DOA because of Edelman's Walmart "flog" scandal. It will take years for Edelman to regain the confidence of the Blogosphere community. Best wishes for a Happy Year to Malik and the crew.

I've a bad feeling about Technorati when Niall left Technorati, then a few other folks from the team left who were there since early beginning. Then search results started acting weird. There are times when I was paging through and clicked on next and it came back with no more to show. Then came the site overhaul from what I think was a great design to a not so great design.
