In exchange for more video news content, Yahoo will feature ABC’s brand more prominently on its premier web news portal, in a deal announced today. This move should bolster Yahoo’s position as the premier web news portal, while giving ABC better access to the Internet audience it clearly covets.

This is some good news for the relationship between ABC-Disney and Yahoo, considering the recent news of former ABC executive Lloyd Braun’s somewhat controversial departure from Yahoo’s offices. The proximity of Yahoo’s new Santa Monica offices to the ABC-Disney offices in Burbank may well contribute to the continued collegiality of the two companies.
