VentureBeat unmasks BitGravity, a new video delivery network, started by Perry Wu, formerly of ComVentures, who is also starting a new incubator called Epiphany Partners. The company is currently raising funds, VentureBeat says.
Norwest Venture Partners has seed funded Whatsbuzzing, an ecommerce meta search engine based in San Jose.
Jott Networks, a Seattle-based company launched today. The company allows anyone to convert voice to text and have it emailed to them. Skype co-founder Niklas Zennstrom and Draper Richards are backing the company.

I can’t help but see any investment activity news right next to the term “short” and think a slam will follow. It took me a few minutes to get it through my head that all you meant was that these were “short takes.” Perhaps I’m just thicker than average, but all this bubble talk has sensitized me — particularly when you start off talking about investments in video!

You can find out more about Whatsbuzzing at our blog whatsbuzzing.wordpress.com. The service is NOT a meta-search engine but a meta-browse engine. It’s a one-stop site where a shopper can browse and shop across hundreds of stores and find out the latest deals, items and promotions. The experience is one of an online mall, where the current seasonal focus is on holiday shopping.
