I think ps3 is better than both 360 and wii together. And I think the 360 is better than the wii. I'm getting tired of the wii in a month and the 360 in 2 months. Now I've had my ps3 for about 3 months and I'm still playing it all day.

Sony won't meet disaster for the same reason that the original xbox didn't overtake PS2. There are too many loyal fans and too many developers that make games for this fan base. PS2 and xbox players typically like different types of games which is why xbox never caught on in Japan. PS3 shortages will do little to stop their long-term dominance over xbox as people have waited a year for one (since 360 came out) knowing what the price would be and will be find waiting another few months if they need to. I don't think xbox sales for christmas will increase a whole lot for 360 due to shortages because parents will be reluctant to give their kids a different system from what they asked for. If anything will boost christmas sales for the 360 it's Gears of War. I have a 360 and am not planning to get a PS3 until developers can max out the 360 hardware and will only make higher quality games for the PS3 (2yrs, maybe longer considering how original xbox games continued to improve dramitically throughout it's lifespan). Also, the Wii will not split market share with different systems. I think it will have the highest sales for a long time (if anyone ever catches it) considering the mass appeal. I don't think you can actually take the percentages of the 3 systems and divide them like that as there will be considerable overlap between Wii and 360/PS3 owners.

Well, at least Billy said something meaningful.

Most gaming analysts are so bad. There are maybe three good ones. Most of them are just number crunchers with tons of financial and/or tech experience and without any real experience in the business.

Even here, the first two analysts were spouting common sense. I could have paid a 16-year old $10 to do some research and he would have had very similar answers.
