I'm surprised Skype hasn't done any of this social networking stuff. I had expected they would have by now. The IM/VoIP client seems a natural integration point for that type of thing.

Nuevo AIM 6…

Liz at GigaOm writes about my favorite new feature in the AIM 6.0 client released today, the Buddy Feed.
I’ve been using it in beta for a few weeks and think it has the potential to really transform social networking.
The Buddy Feed feature lets …

PC only? seems that AIM is dropping mac in favor of ichat integration…wondering if they have any plans to roll out a new version for mac as well…

Robert,
Install AIM ET which is AOL's lightweight, slim version of AIM:
http://greenhouse.aol.com/prod.jsp?prod_id=27

It runs in only 5k of memory!

No sign of the Google Talk integration yet? AOL just doesn't seem to "get it".

BOOOOO!

This sucks big time. I hate AIM Triton with a passion. It's slow, it's buggy, and it's just plain bulky.

I had to actually downgrade to a better version of AIM - a version that simply provides the UI needed to instant message a person. I don't care about all of that other crap, and my friends agree. Everyone that has touched Triton has made a jump to http://www.oldversion.com

If AOL forces people to use Triton, I smell a startup in the future.
