Fox Interactive Near Acquisition of BubbleShare

Fox Interactive has made a bid of less than $5 million dollars for online photo-sharing startup BubbleShare, according to our sources. Talks have been going on for a while now, but the deal is not closed. Some details of the acquisition spilled in blog posts from TechCrunch and One Degree earlier today. BubbleShare, which to our knowledge has not raised outside funding, is a two-year-old project based in Toronto that provides fun and easy tools for creating widgets, adding voice captions, zooming in on photos, and making screensavers out of them. We had previously mentioned the company when it came out of stealth, and later reviewed it. Fox Interactive declined comment.
