Carrypad has uncovered a new handheld PC that runs the Via C-7 processor and features a sliding keyboard.  The Arima UM650UV1 is listed with 512 MB of memory, a long life battery, docking station, 20 – 40 GB hard drive, integrated web cam and 2 USB ports.  It’s rather bizzare as all the controls on the front of the device are on the left side so I’m not sure how you would interact with the device without the keyboard open.  Carrypad has the full listed specs and several photos and here’s one to get your gadget lust going:

Arima

  2. This is the same as the Medion UMPC that surfaced pictures earlier in the year (during the summer I think)

Arima is the design and manufacturer, and they’ll brand it for other firms
