WIDGETS: Fox Interactive’s SpringWidgets

Fox Interactive just announced its proprietary widgets platform, SpringWidgets, pleasing the crowd here at the Marines’ Memorial Club.

The company is releasing its own widgets along with the platform, integrating content from IGN.com, FOXSports.com, and MyFox local station sites. It has already included one outside company, FeedBurner, which will allow publishers to distribute their feeds via widgets.
SpringWidgets has one-click cooperation with MySpace profiles, though it won’t necessarily restore outside linking in Flash, which MySpace has effectively disallowed due to security issues.

WiFi is working now, so our blogging should hopefully get more regular.
