What could make your Halloween celebration more exciting than a scavenger hunt for graves near you.  I’m not talking about any old graves, either, I’m talking about the final resting spots for historical figures and famous people, or as the Earthcomber people put it the "rich, famous and notorious".  Earthcomber is a free application for mobile devices that supports special guides (for a fee) that brings the locations of particular places into the palm of your hand.  Just in time for Halloween they are pushing a new guide, the "Find a Grave USA" spot guide.  It will set you back $10 but that’s a cheap price to pay for spicing up that Halloween party.  Here’s a detailed description from the Earthcomber people:

FindAGrave.com — the premier source of information about gravesites of the rich, famous, and notorious — is now available on your handheld. This Earthcomber Spot Guide™ gives you a portable, searchable directory of the most famous graves in the USA. From actors to assassins, from scientists to signers of the Constitution, this guide can direct you to the final resting places of over 9,000 famous people across the US!

You can browse the guide by location or set it up to alert you whenever you’re nearby a famous grave. Want to know when you’re within 20 miles of a famous actor’s grave? You can do that. Want to know about all presidential graves within 100 miles? You can do that too!
