Superfiuesf5pro_1_1I’ve made it no secret that I love my Ultimate Ears Super.fi Pro 5 earphones, I have never heard better sound from any headphones nor earphones.  The Pro 5s are expensive at $249 but fortunately for those with a limited budget Ultimate Ears makes several models to appeal to almost anyone.  The problem the consumer is confronted with is which one packs the best punch for the money?  Fortunately for us Jason Dunn of The Two Inch View has written a review comparing all of the UE models and makes a recommendation of the best value without forsaking audio quality.  I’m not going to tell you which one he suggests, you’ll have to read it for yourself.

    Dear Santa,

I’ve been good this year, and I want this!

I have the UE 5s too. The sound is great, but I just can’t get them to the point where they are comfortable. I just tried the cable swap and it seems to help a little. I can’t get a good consistent seal.

For comfort, the Westone UM-2 beat them hands down and the sound is as good, if not better. They are $50 more than the UE5s.

  3. I decided not to wait for Santa, I was flying down to Houston today to teach a class so yesterday I stopped by CompUSA and picked up a set. I was so amazed by the sound I couldn’t sleep on the plane (even though I was on the 6:15 AM flight!). Now that I’m at the hotel, I’m again enjoying UE goodness. Thanks for the heads up!!!!
