• If any one has read any of the halo novels they would know that the halo universe is much deeper than its games show. The master chief is but a small part in the conflict. Many other characters have done more damage than the master chief. • • Who ever said the movie included the master chief at all? The movie could be based on a conflict in the halo universe that has not been seen. Like a conflict early on in the war.

If how ever the movie does follow the story of the battle on the Alpha halo then yes, the movie would suck. Must halo fans already know the story of the first game, and would know every twist.

I doubt that it will be used as a promotional toolfor the .360. As far as I am concerned it will be a great movie. A protagonist never has to be 'likeable', or sympathetic, no one even has to empathise with them, but I think for alot of people they could with master chief, and you will more than likely be able to see his face at some point. JEEZCHUZ CHRISCHT!

Battlefield Earth Rocks!!!

Somehow, the mention of JT for an actor immediatley brought up BE.

Imagine that ?(sarcasm)

I'm no Scientologist, but I loved the film as a "B" film. I didn't realise it was supposed to be an "A" film.

Hopefully Microsoft isn't trying to do a Sony, expanding from its base of operations into everything and not quite making the target anywhere anymore.

I bought the PC version of the game, played it a little and found my PC inadequate and now it lives with the rest of the CD collection.

If they do enough pseudo-martial arts, you never know how big those 'after-box office' flims can get. Jean-Claude Van Damme made a success of failures, but I sure hope that's not the MS strategy, budgetting an "A", going for a "B."

You haven't seem King Kong. I LOVED LOTR; thought it deserved all kinds of Oscars but King Kong? Poor characters; horrible script. An embaressment.

I think you might be selling them short in this case. The movie would likely deliver the very things that fans want to see, including some back story on Master Chief. Unless you've seen the screenplay, then you can't assume that it's going to suck. If Peter Jackson backs it, I can't imagine it would.
