I am not very excited about content being shoved from Goobe into mobile devices. I think the opportunity that exists in creating social networks using mobile devices will be lost by this gimmicky application…

I think it’s only natural for Google/YouTube and similar video sites to start pushing content out to mobile users since there is huge growth potential in the market as bandwidth increases and younger users participate.

YouTube has had a mobile upload for a long while now: http://www.youtube.com/myprofilemobile

they give you an mms email address that will post your vids when you send to that address. it looks something like this

@mms.youtube.com

Interesting post on GigaOm about GooTube over mobile.

Nice idea…but the economics of mobile data are not the almost "free ride" of the 'Net. Clip surfing GooTube on a mobile will cost real money - in the UK at any rate. I haven't done the eco…

Google doesn’t have much of a mobile story yet even for its core product portfolio. Dreams of a mobile Youtube are just wishful thinking.
