Wmp_playlist_managerAlthough it’s included in Windows Mobile, the least used application on my mobile phone is definitely Windows Media Player. The few incremental little upgrades haven’t done much for me and there are so many good third party multimedia apps out there. WMP Playlist Manager is a refreshing add-on however, and better yet, it’s free!

Pocket PC Thoughts gave WMP Playlist Manager the nod earlier this morning thanks to adding extensive playlist management functionality (.asx format) to Windows Media Player. While this doesn’t get WMP on par with other apps, it’s a nice-to-have for using WMP in a pinch! You’ll need .NET Compact Framework 1.0 or better, which for most modern Pocket PCs and Smartphones is a non-issue.
