The Synaptics Onyx may be a little long for a phone but it’s worth the extra size to get all of the great functionality the Onyx provides.  At the Mobius conference in Boston we did a little phone design exercise and as part of that I described a phone that was all touch-screen that morphed to make it easier to perform whatever task the user needed to perform.  Little did I know I was largely describing the Onyx, take a look at the overview and live video that SlashGear has posted.  Really cool stuff.

Onyx

  1. Thanks for the linklove, JK :) The Onyx is an ubercool phone, I’m incredibly jealous of Vincent for getting to play with it!

We’ve got a follow-up article about it coming up soon, with more of the concept and some further video footage.
