Danny Sullivan, a pioneer in search coverage and conferences, said today he is leaving his post as editor-in-chief of Search Engine Watch at the end of November and most likely will be exiting as chair of the Search Engine Series. Sullivan sold SEW to Jupitermedia’s predecessor in 1997; the site and the series were sold last year to Incisive Media. Sullivan extended his contract through 2006 but the deal breaker going forward appears to be his interest in a “formal capital stake.” (via Scoble)
