Ruckus Networks is already doing a similar thing for college students. I used to work as a campus rep; they had a library of 1.5 million songs as well as video and a facebook-y component. We tried selling subscriptions for $10/semester. After that didn't work, they moved to being ad supported. It's a really great service, just never got a critical mass onboard.
