Somebody Give These Guys Some Millions!
We just got pointed to Mooglets, another personalizable homepage (warning: probably won’t work in IE6). It got a few diggs a while back. This one’s prettier than the rest, though it doesn’t have much in the way of widgets yet. Mooglets is made by a self-described “small web design/engineering agency located in Rome, Italy” that “build[s] accessible and usable websites, design shirts or cd covers, and create[s] custom web based applications (content management systems, shopping carts, etc).” Obviously it has little in the way of users, partnerships, and distribution deals, so perhaps it doesn’t need funding. But c’mon, if the benchmark is Netvibes’ $15 million, some venture capitalist must want to step up. Frothy is as frothy does… (Thanks, Niall.)
Update: Sorry guys — I don’t have any millions myself, and this was written with my tongue firmly placed in my cheek.

If you are giving away millions, we at eyeOS are really interested on a few of them … :) http://eyeOS.org and http://eyeOS.info
Very, very cool. This definitely has potential – I wish I had a few million to throw their way!!
Cool design, but functionality wise they have a long way to go.
doesn’t work on IE
OM OM OM:
I need millions!
http://abmw.wordpress.com/2006/02/27/my-bright-idea-an-open-source-business-plan/
brought to you by a company that “build[s] accessible and usable websites”.. except it doesn’t work for over 85% of the people on the internet who use Internet Explorer..
It’s weak – building compatibility for IE and several other non-Firefox browsers isn’t that complicated. They are basically just cutting corners instead of addressing the needs of consumers who don’t give a monkeys about web-browser wars.
hahahaa invest millions in something that doesn’t work in ie? you are funny.
What about me? Don’t I deserve several millions for my company since we develop this: http://www.origo.pt
The site is in portuguese, and it’s have been developed in a custom ajax framework.
:)
Can I have some millions too? Me and my company developed a portal called Origo with a custom Ajax framework:

See “Jogos Flash” to see how we handle the games.
