Vista_gatesAccording to Paul Thurrott, Microsoft still plans to ship Vista to businesses in November and consumers in January, even with build issues on the current release candidate, RC1. Two large issues have forced Microsoft to re-plan their build strategy, although the issues were not publicly detailed. Thurrott indicates that internal build 5536 will become available early next week; I’ve been watching for new releases on a daily basis and haven’t seen anything since Build 5472 back in mid-July. It’s been noted that inside Microsoft, some folks have been using 5505 for some time. More watching and waiting for me, but perhaps no additional waiting for consumers come January.
