A leader in mobile content is searching for a Vice President/General Manager of its progressive direct to consumer division.
The VP/GM is responsible for the look, feel and interface of the entire direct to consumer channel. This role is about mobile media distribution and e-commerce focused primarily on the youth consumer. Leveraging strong general management experience, the VP/GM will run a company within a company. You will have full P&L responsibility as well as a team to support your primary objective of marketing, merchandising and delivery of content direct to consumers for use on mobile devices.
While content acquisition is not a part of the VP/GM role, you will be responsible for researching and developing the best, most competitive and efficient models and forms for packaging all content such as ringtones, games and graphics. You and your team will define and grow other verticals as a part of this role. Smooth customer interface and seamless delivery are a must to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.

The VP/GM will be a confident, skilled individual who is passionate and knowledgeable about the mobile/online media space. Successful candidates might come from entertainment media companies and have experience branding and managing media products. A genuine understanding of the online consumer, particularly the online youth consumer, is a must. E-commerce and e-marketing experience also a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Manage every aspect of the customer experience
– Develop merchandising and delivery plans that are unique and not-easily-replicated to aggressively grab market share
– Collaborate with other internal resources including engineering, marketing, customer service, business development, content development, product management and legal to deliver products and services to meet the business plan
– Grow business through acquisition
– Mentor, direct and manage your team
– Plan and oversee all advertising, promotion, merchandising and marketing activities in coordination with internal and external marketing resources
– Manage/improve marketing program ROI
– Develop forecasts and analyze variances
– Understand and monitor broader industry trends with direct to consumer marketplace and proactively respond appropriately to grow market share
– Constantly monitor the young consumer market

EDUCATION:
A bachelor’s degree is required. MBA highly preferred. Ten to fifteen years experience in the brick & mortar and digital space with a successful track record of business and people management, P&L responsibility, and expertise of high-growth, fast paced operations.
