TheStreet.com is seeking a traffic czar to spearhead channel marketing efforts that drive qualified traffic to our leading business and financial website. The Director will leverage the respected brand of TheStreet.com as well as the buzz created by founder Jim Cramer’s Mad Money TV show to secure online partnerships designed to drive traffic to subscription offers for our 14 pay-content products and free content supported by our advertising partners.
As a key member of the Marketing Management team, the Director will provide the inspiration, vision and dynamic leadership to identify and secure revenue-generating partnerships and close business development deals. The director will creatively and innovatively pull traffic to TheStreet.com by establishing long-term, successful partnerships across all channels (development of negotiation strategy, establishment of favorable deal terms, and relationship management). This role requires an aggressive deal maker who is creative, personable, persuasive, and constantly pushing to stay ahead of channel marketing initiatives and the latest Web 2.0 technologies.
Qualified candidates MUST have established relationships within the online world, preferably within the finance space.
–Minimum of 2-3 years successful online sales/marketing experience in a high-energy environment.
–Minimum of 2-3 years experience negotiating traffic partnerships.
–Sales experience in related industries, such as interactive publishing, internet, and financial services is a plus.
–Proven track record of pipeline management, negotiating and managing content partnerships/relationships and revenue partnerships.
–Experience in financial analysis, ROI calculations, and revenue projections.
–Ability to operate independently with an entrepreneurial spirit.
–Ability to lead projects from start to finish.
–Ability to act as a change agent and solve problems in an innovative manner.
–Superior presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
