Position Responsibilities
The Vice President of New Media Business Development will be responsible for researching, identifying, negotiating and managing third-party relationships to expand the usage of and revenues from MediaVast content on new media platforms with a specific emphasis on mobile and broadband Internet. Specific responsibilities include:
– Perform market research and analysis to identify relevant opportunities and strategies;
– Develop the necessary industry contacts to successfully exploit identified opportunities;
– Negotiate and structure business third-party business relationships to implement defined strategies;
– Coordinate with the legal department to draft and complete the necessary agreements in a timely manner;
– Coordinate and communicate with other internal departments throughout the agreement process to ensure timely and successful implementation of executed agreements; and
– Actively monitor and manage the resulting relationships during the term to maximize company returns.
Qualifications and Required Experience
Candidates must have a track record of results and display the potential to become a significant member of the leadership team. Specific qualifications include:
– 8+ years of new media business development experience with a concentration on mobile and broadband Internet markets;
– An in-depth understanding the developing media platforms, relevant companies and associated business models;
– Superior communication and teamwork skills with the ability to interact cross-functionally at all organizational levels;
– Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of structuring complex business transactions;
– Excellent analytic and strategic planning skills;
– Attention to detail;
– Strong work ethic;
– Strong time management and prioritization skills with a demonstrated ability to execute against multiple projects and excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment; and
– An MBA from top business school is preferred.
