MySpace got tangled up with the marketing company Zango this week after a researcher pointed out that the social network is spreading Zango’s adware. Answers from both sides were pretty unclear and generally incoherent, as vitalsecurity.org points out in a nice rant entitled “The Great Divide.”

  • It is no surprise. I have a myspace account in case old high school buddies are looking for me, but only open it if an e-mail notification lets me know if someone’s trying to contact me. Most of them seem to be lonely ladies from the Ukraine. Sorry, Svetlana, but…

Otherwise I stay away because every time I open up MySpace, my laptop’s fan comes on. Sometimes a window pops up asking me where I would like to save a .exe file.

This is just from opening the freaking site!!
