Position Summary:
The Ecommerce Marketing Manager is responsible for driving traffic and revenue for DiscoveryStore.com. The focus is primarily in the areas of: Affiliate Marketing, Shopping Comparison Sites and partnerships.
This position will have hands on responsibility for existing partnership relationships, both operationally and strategically, and for growing revenue through expansion of those relationships. This position will also develop relationships with new affiliates and partnerships.
Responsibilities:
1) Manage affiliate program:
* Run communication program with current affiliates.
* Work with current affiliates to expand Discovery products offered.
* Communicate with account managers at Affiliate Agencies to increase affiliate partners and manage commissions.
* Recruit new affiliates to offer Discovery products.
* Manage relationships with partner sites, including major portals. * Communicate with partners around Discovery products and promotions.
2) Work with shopping comparison engines:
* Manage relationships and datafeeds that are used to distribute product offerings.
* Analyze revenue and profit by relationships, and then work with partners/engines to improve results.
3) Financial – manage to budget, regular reporting on campaigns and ROI.
4) Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* 5 + years in marketing/sales with at least 3 years e-commerce/online marketing or affiliate marketing experience.
* Experience with developing and maintaining online partner relationships
* Direct experience with major online shopping sites.
* Highly effective interpersonal communication skills with ability to collaborate with variety of internal teams.
* Solid understanding of online marketing.
* Demonstrated quantitative skills, including proficiency with marketing metrics, ROI analysis, forecasting, budgeting and monitoring/reporting results.
* Strong writing and presentation skills.
* Self-starter with ability to own and advance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Bachelors degree in marketing or related field required.
* Account management , negotiation skills, team player yet able to work autonomously, fast learner, able to hit the ground running.
* The legal right to work in the United States.
