Wrt54g3g Linksys has had their mobile broadband router available in the UK and other countries since last year, but if the FCC site is for real, we’ll have another way to share our wireless 3G connections here in the U.S. Looks like we’ll have the WRT54G3G Wireless-G Router for Mobile Broadband soon.

The UK version allows you to pipe your UMTS or GPRS connection to anyone within range of an 802.11g radio. Details aren’t yet appearing on which 3G standard will be supported once the WRT54G3G hits the shores here, so we’ll keep watching and waiting. Notice I didn’t say "I hope it supports EV-DO." I thought about saying it, but I didn’t. Digging through the test reports (all 70 pages) indicate that the tests were run with GSM cards, which makes it appear likely that the WRT54G3G is for the slower GPRS and EDGE connections.
