INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – May 2, 2006 – DyKnow, a leader in interactive education technology, announces that Gateway, the third largest PC company in the United States will package and sell DyKnow software with its learning services and hardware products. This includes Gateway’s popular convertible notebooks that combine the benefits of a standard notebook with the advantages of pen computing.

This announcement comes after the recent unveiling of the Gateway M285-E convertible notebook and the impending release of DyKnow version 4.2. The two companies provide educators with a significant opportunity to combine the most recent Gateway Tablet PC series with the next release of the feature-rich, complementary DyKnow software.

Teachers use DyKnow Vision software to instantly transmit content to student computers for annotation. Students’ personalized notes can be added, saved and replayed at a later date for review. DyKnow Monitor software reduces electronic distraction by displaying thumbnails of student screens, blocking applications, blanking screens and monitoring in wireless environments.
"We have already seen significant interest in DyKnow Vision as a complementary application for our Tablet PCs from educators nationwide," said John Cowie, senior director of education strategy for Gateway. "This relationship strengthens our ability to provide compelling technology that prepares students for the workplace and beyond.”

As a reseller of DyKnow software, Gateway brings significant value to its customers. The solution is especially beneficial to universities and schools pursuing one-to-one computing programs with ubiquitous wireless access to enhance learning. By sharing customers and resources, DyKnow and Gateway hope to foster a growing network of innovative educators.

“Gateway has earned a reputation for understanding educator’s desire to make teaching more engaging with the goal of increasing student learning,” said Laura Small, president of DyKnow. “We believe the combination of DyKnow software and Tablet PCs can enhance the educational experience by offering teachers tools to make lessons more creative and interactive.”
