MSNBCMSNBC has rolled out their MSNBC Mobile beta for a number of devices including the Palm Treo 700w.  The service is free and provides the following:

  • Top news headlines
  • Up-to-the-minute video from NBC Nightly News, the Today show and more
  • Our most popular photo slideshows, including The Week in Pictures, Celebrity Sightings and The Week in Sports Pictures
  • A “My Saved Articles” folder where you can store content you want to read later
  • I have been using it on my Treo for a couple of days and it works really well, providing headlines in both regular news and in tech news.  To sign up you just select your device from a list and enter your mobile phone number and then download the small program file.  All news videos play through Windows Media Player and they are very well done.  I have been able to play them even with the limited program memory on the Treo.  It is a very easy way to keep up with video news on the go.
